Valiant - Family Movie review

This movie has not been getting very good reviews, I know its not an oscar nominee but its not a bad kids movie either. Its a basic story about a small week bird that wants to be a big strong hero. He dreams of going the carry pigeons army and serve his country. He always hears that he is too young or too small to do these things. He has the heat of a lion and will not stop till he succeeds. Not the greatest story, but a fine kids movie to see, especially since its been pretty lean on kids movies for several weeks now.

A brave-but-undersized pigeon, named Valiant, dreams of joining the elite Royal Homing Pigeon Service and serving crown and country during World War II. Despite his small stature, Valiant's ambitions are enormous as he keeps a stiff upper beak and endures rigorous training in preparation for a dangerous mission to deliver vital messages to troops behind enemy lines. With a shortage of wingpower in the royal fleet due to increased attacks by a brigade of vicious enemy falcons--led by the ruthless General Von Talon--the mission falls to Valiant and the unlikely heroes of "Squad F" to try and save the day. With a wing and a prayer, Valiant and his fine feathered pals fly into harm's way and prove that it's not the size of the wingspan that counts, but the size of the spirit.

Bad News bears movie review

We went to the Bad News Bears on opening weekend, a little late on posting my thoughts.

Since this was a remake and I love the original, I enjoyed this moving ALOT!! Bill bob was the perfect fit for the character, in a Bad Santa kind of way. BUT for my younger children I was absolutely throwen back by the amount of profanity in this movie. I know that it was PG13 but damn, it probably had for bad words than the average R rated movie. If you can overlook that there was a ton of funny one liners and funny scenes in this movie.
